Fractal Architecture: Design for Sustainability
This book is not about Strawbale Construction but fills the gap between concepts of sustainability and the practice of environmental design. It is based on the assumption that sustainability and environmental design are not just industrial era (Modernist) design in green clothing, but a whole new direction with its own philosophy, techniques and expression.
By Ken Haggard, Polly Cooper.
Detail Book
Published in 2000 this is a sourcebook of straw bale construction detail information that can be useful in the development of specific designs. Some of the details are outdated and CASBA is working on a newer version. These are not construction drawings and only intended as a design aid.
Design of Straw Bale Buildings
Bruce King along with many of the contributing authors are CASBA members. This book is the current "State of the Art" for Strawbale design. "This is intended to serve as an engineering guidebook. It has been written as much as possible to be accessible to any building professional, or even layman, but will inevitably have sections that are obscure without an engineering background.
Bruce King and other CASBA members.
