Learn about straw bale building in a fun, supportive environment while helping to build a tiny building for Coral Tree Farm. During this two-day workshop, we will install the straw bales in the walls of this 120 square foot post-and-beam building. We will also straighten the bale walls and prepare them for clay plaster. The class will be a mix of talking about building and hands-on doing. This is a rare opportunity to participate in a real build where your safety and education are the primary focus.

No previous experience with construction is required. All tools will be provided for your use during the class. Taught by Rebecca Tasker and Mike Long, general contractors and co-owners of Simple Construct Naturally Healthy Homes. Presented in conjunction with : The California Straw Building Association

This workshop is 9 am - 3 pm both Saturday and Sunday. We will provide water and light snacks, you will be responsible for bringing your own lunch.
