    In Deerhorn Valley in Southern California, an artist's Straw Bale Studio rises from the ashes and doubles as a community center. A CASBA contractor was involved in its construction.

    Fine Homebuilding's 2012 award for best new home was won by Arkin Tilt Architects for designing a 2500 SF home in Santa Cruz, Calif

    Congratulation to CASBA members David Arkin & Anni Tilt of Arkin Tilt Architects, who received the award for this Net Zero energy and Hybrid Straw Bale Home.
